 A few questions:
  • Do you pay monthly for some games?
    • Say I bought HL2 for PC, and I wanted to buy Gmod, could HL2 (DISK) be added on my Steam games list then?

HL2 was released after Steam, meaning that no matter what, it's integrated into Steam. If you bought a CD of it, it would install Steam.

Anyone have any idea how Steam works..

Like how much do they pay for the license to sell the game to everyone? Do they pay half of it back to the makers etc?

Or do they just buy it entirely and are allowed to sell as many downloads as they want.

I'm not sure exactly if you understand what i mean, but hopefully you do :P

half to makers

Also Steam came out WITH hl2

But the CSS beta was during Steam, and CSS was before HL2.

Steam is Valve I think, and the makers APPROVE of the selling.

No stuff, Valve owns Steam. Steam is not a company.

LOL WELCOME 2 STEAM INC GIV PASS PLZ

Uh no, CSS is a game built off HL2
