Either way. I'm giving this one more day of trying to get this game to work. If it still cannot be started, then I will officially give up.
So either somebody who knows their stuff (not that I do not appreciate those that are trying, which I thank you guys for), tell me something useful, or don't bother replying to this thread. Seriously.
BTW I found out the crash was simply a result of my putting in a bad command (I had misspelled the Direct3D) in the console. But even with the correct name, it still doesn't do anything.
My last guess would be for somebody to help me make a script that changes the display device when you start Blockland to what I want.
SO please, help me here so I can make this last attempt at getting this game to work.
Recap so far of my problem:
My computer does not suck, and all drivers were checked for updates, and they are already confirmed to be up to date. (I have no problems with any other video games or programs I use on this computer)
It ran Blockland just fine in the past when I had windows XP (which is no longer a choice as an OS for me)
I switched to Vista and the game no longer works.
Via my research for people with similar problems using the Torque engine, I have discovered that the
problem has to do with my specific video card and how windows Vista handles OpenGL while using that specific program.
So the only other choice that I can think of to attempt to force the game to start in Direct3D upon the first launch. I cannot even just disable the video card, because my onboard video is made by the same manufacturer.
And therefor, I would like somebody who knows what they are doing, to please come out and help me if you can. If you guys can't help me, don't worry I won't blame you. But I cannot pursue this problem any longer if there is no sign of ever solving it. Its only a game, and I can just find other things to do.
