They can hold him back, but upon suprize I'm pretty sure Gman could obliterate them.

In a way, yes. Teleportation wherever he wants, shows up wherever he wants, and kills whatever he wants.

The Vortiguants stopped him in his tracks the the beginning of Episode 1 though, and you don't see him again until they're preoccupied healing Alyx.

I want the Cremator in Half Life 2, he looks so awesome, he could've been in the level with the zombies or the Citadel D:

You could download missing information mod. It might be in that.
(i know the hydra and stuff is but im not sure if the cremator is (working anyway))

I would guess he burns bodies (alive or dead).
