Yay o:
I figured out how to make water, npcs, vehicles, and doors :D

Try making a singleplayer map.

You seem to understand the gist of mapping, try to expand! I want the end result, though. :D

I dont know how to make NPC nodes, or what ever they're called.
You know, the things that make the npcs actually move?
In my map, Dog doesnt do stuff but stand there.
The zombies only attack if you shoot them D:

Decompile a few maps. Vmex.

Open spaces, but something to liven things up.

I've added some water in the little pit and put a roof (just like the roof on gm_construct :D)
I dont know how to make a 3d sky box, so im just going with a regular skybox. A map isnt a map without a skybox o:
Yeah, I'm going to put in a little flat building place to, n0cturni.

update on the map so far
Features include:
Npc nodes! The npcs you spawn move! Amazing!
Under water chamber (in progress)
Large terrain
Huge skybox! (not really that high yet o:)
and the picture:

reminds me of when i tried making a map for duke nukem 3d

test map had sliding, button activating and hinged doors, an under water area and weapons and aliens

then i made this :o
