Having just bought the game (since it was half price, I'd been looking it up for a while), can anyone recommend any servers in particular which would be suited to players new to the game or basic help?

Well, i have no servers to recommend, but here's a few tips

As a Pyro, use your flamethrower to torch spies that may be disguised as one of your teammates, as a Pyro, it is your job to do constant Spy Checks with your flamethrower, also, if you have an Engineer on your team and hit sentry is under fire from rockets, use the flamethrower's secondary fire to blast the rockets away while the sentry is busy taking out the Soldiers

And last, if you see a Medic healing a Heavy, Solder, Pyro or whatever, try your best to take out the Medic, cause obviously, you won't get nowhere just attacking the person being healed

There really aren't any recommendations, as most servers probably won't help you.

I suggest going engineer for the first few times you play, watch how others players play before running out as a spy without a disguise and getting sniped.

Me and a ton of blocklanders go to the JCINK server. Look for pload, me adio(sometimes, he rage quits), or lex or someone to be in the server. Pload goes there most though.

Thanks for that advice, masterlegodude, I'm going to buy this game soon and was wondering the same thing as space guy :D

People will occasionaly do spy checking, they'll shoot their teamates. If you're a spy and they shoot you, do not retaliate. Just keep moving.

the frog server is fun and pretty newb friendly...

as a spy, also disguise as medic with teh medi gun...yeah

It's not always a good idea to disguise yourself the same class over and over, if that's what you're implying

Ah okay

The only servers i join, are ones that have plenty of players in it, or ones that i guess would have some/all people who talk english, cause it's just fail to be in a server where you're the only one who talks english ._.

I WUNT TF2. Unfortunately, It is difficult to presuade my parents to buy things over the internet, if blockland didn't have a mail payment I would probably not be typing this right now.
