Yeah, balance issues are a pain in the arse. Large feet and/or a more balanced upper body usually help. Tissue does the trick, too lol

On the other hand, that fighter is pretty sweet. Where'd you get that roosterpit from?

"Hero" minifigure? What do you mean by that?

Any Tumblr users here?
Even if there aren't, this still has some pretty awesome Lego stuff.

Thanks. The roosterpit was probably in some garage sale bin of Legos we bought a while back. Part # is 2507, if you're interested.

I use to play with legos and create stories and such. He was always the "main character". The main protagonist.

That's always fun to do
I used to make an inventory system and battle sequences

Thanks for the part number, Bluetooth.

Oh yeah, my cousins, friends, and I used to do this with our Space guys. Only thing is, we had one large story that we kept going, since we all lived in close proximity or were easy to reach. I spent so much time making vehicles and "sets" for the stories. Hilarity always ensued, along with dramatic
battle sequences

 good times ;~;

You kids and your fancy special piece mechs. Back in the day I didn't have the luxury of having hands on those kinds of parts. So I drug my lego box of 80s-90s legos and went to work on making a mecha of my own.

He's pretty ugly but he's the best I can do given the parts I got. He has an excellent amount of articulation in the legs, hips, waist and shoulders. He suffers with the forearms as they are always stuck in that Battletech pose.

also his head moves up and down and my keyboard needs a can of air.

Actually, for the pieces you're using, that's a pretty amazing mech. I'd love to see what you could do with a few more pieces. ;)

Here's one of mine:

I plan to use this'n here for some stop motion animation. Just need to tighten up a few joints first.

Sorry for the bad pic, this new iPod of mine only has a front facing camera. :/

Nice and consistent, if only I could get my superdetailed mechs to stand like that :C

It's probably because the upperbody is much more heavy than the legs.

I got the newish Millennium Falcon (7965) a few weeks after a few years of absence from Lego, then I got the Y-Wing shortly after. I think I'll rebuild my 6209 Slave I and save up for the new X-Wing.

Tay, that is a pretty sweet mech for the limited parts you had. It makes me feel little bad for complaining about not having "special pieces" for something.

Camera your mechs are pretty sweet, too. Although, the first is the best. The wings and legs are killer :o

Don't know what Bluetooth posted, since the pic is borked.

cam, your mechs are just making me even more eager to see pacific rim.

I wonder what side yours would be on, monsters or robots?

roboticus, that dragon mech is a self-aware though :)

My attempt to design a smaller lego robot using less parts and more articulation. I was doing good for all of the upper torso until I had to figure out how I'd do the legs to where it'd look nice. I gave up because lack of good parts as all the parts that would allow articulation at this scale were used up. So I put it on wheels and now its merely a sparring robot. Nostalgia Critics paused Expression sums up my feelings on the final result as well.

If you have any ideas for the leg design please let me know.
