I dont know how to flatshade in 3DS max :X

That tutorial is said to be really old. It is easier to use the EdgeSplit modifier to create smoothing groups.
So I guess it's about time someone recreated the guide.


So remove doubles before doing the shading? Actually, if you didn't, that would be kinda weird.
