Hey, what are some tips on making models for blockland?
Like, how do I make cylinders and spheres low poly?
I'm using blender.
I don't know how to use blender :c
I use wings 3D <3

A rather vague question.

Add > Mesh > Cylinder > Change "Vertices" #
The number of vertices determines the number of faces.
Personally, I never go above 12. I mostly use 8 and 6.

Add > Mesh > UV Sphere > Change "Segments" and "Rings" #
Segments determines shape, Rings is basically how many levels/stacks are created for the mesh.
I rarely ever use spheres, but again I don't go above 12.

Edit: Oh the things I don't read. My post here is related to 2.49b, I don't know how relevant it is to 2.5 in terms of the interface.

I can teach you.

EDIT:
Ok, so when ever I go to something else I lose those options. How can I go back to them?

What options?

Press T and N.

To split windows, select the little triangle lines at the corner, and drag to either side. Also can be used to close windows.

Ok, when I add something, on the left side it shows options like vertices, ration, and stuff like that. When I click on something else, it changes. How can I go back to that?

Why is this so hard. Press Shift + A, select circle, press F6, change vertices and done.

OK
HOW CAN I CHANGE THE VERTICES FOR ANYTHING, AT ANY TIME?

You go to edit mode and mess around. No other way as I already explained here:
That's because Blender works in mysterious ways. You need to press F6 after you've created the object but before entering edit mode. Once you enter edit mode, you can't the change the amount of vertices on a cylinder or similar anymore.

Meh
Ok, how do I make a cylinder look empty in the middle but still have a thick edge.

I was experimenting with lighting on my new model.
This is my 2nd sword... I call it...

You need to work on your three dimensional thinking. Two cylinders one being smaller inside the larger one.

How to make things lower poly in Wings3d?
