Lower range, far more accuracy.

The M4 has a longer barrel, hence it'd be more accurate and have less bullet drop, the M4 has inferior accuracy and reach in longer firefights, it's made for short range, all carbines are. It's not like a counter-sniper rifle or anything.

blenders not a "clusterforget of confusion" i cant see why all you you think it is, you have your texturing tools here you have your modeling tools here etc etc.. seems alot easier then milkshape to me i guess but thats just me...

Blender.
Really, use it for about 2 days just screwing around and trying things out, maybe read a manual or two, and it's very simple.  That's what I did, and I know how to do pretty much everything needed for modeling in Blockland.

Ctrl+click/drag I think.

Alright I'm trying to select my vertices but it only selects one at a time, which is annoying.

It wont let me select 2 vertices :C
