Edgesplit modifier. You can control the sharp and the smooth edges by pressing ctrl e and then selecting either "mark sharp" or "clear sharp".

Less messy than separating faces.

Heres something I've been working on in my spare time. Also I hope to be posting the animation tutorials today!

Lovely, saw your other tutorials, you're pretty good at this.

Are you planning something with that guy?

Yeah I'm planning to make a game over the summer.

Edge split works with the exporter?

Cool, what are you planning to make it about?

Is there even gonna be a single player, or are you using Torque3D?

Edge split works with the exporter?

Modifiers usually work with the exporter, I know that the mirror modifier does work for me. Also, according to the exporter's manual, it should work unless you are making a "skinned mesh" (mesh that deforms while animating). But that can be solved by applying the modifier and then exporting it.

Also, garbage truck:

Nice smoothshading bro. Not too sure about the back of the cabinet being so open. Thanks for the edge split tip.
