I didn't really follow in the Planets Remake thread, so how did you get textures to work without showing up bright white in-game, Demian?

That looks a lot better, mostly because of the different rendering, but what the hell is that thing prodding out in the front? Shouldn't there be another one on the other side or something? It also has almost no depth. Its just like a extruded circle.

anyone know why no matter what I do, the transparency on my textures are always black, and have weird white dots around the actual texture?

You should add a little more detail to it. It just makes the whole model look like stuff. Maybe shorten it?

I'm not removing it, I want to keep it as close as possible to the real thing without deriving from the original blocky look

Just UV map it (after fixing) and do the usual fixing of removing doubles, fixing normals and applying rot, loc and pos.

That helicopter is great.
