You must not think there is a face count limit for weapons in blockland

how many are there in that model?

if that thing nekram posted can work in blockland, then it definitely will
besides at least it doesnt look very out of place ingame

My brother once ran a server with a weapon by the name of "nintendo zapper", it had an extreme ammount of polys ingame and was the longest thing to load in the server

upon spawning; it did not infact lag gameplay at all

There is no limit. The engine can load just about as many triangles as I want it to.

Ive tested this statement with a 50k+ model.

The one you see here is ~6000 triangles. I don't care what you nor anyone else thinks of it. It looks just fine alongside the rest of the game to me, and I have no slowdown issues.

And what you just said about the Zapper:

High-poly =/////= smooth shading.

As far as I know the Zapper doesn't use very many polygons, its just smoothed. If I'm wrong, then it must have been coincidence, as Ive downloaded this model before with no speed issues.

Another possibility is that it uses textures that are of too high-resolution.

It could also be that the bandwidth on this game's server(s?) is very restricted.

There isn't.  It's just that most people can only handle a certain amount with their isp and computer capabilities

What this guy said. The limit is determined by your computer's hardware.

I'm re baking the cloth animation so it falls right and re doing the bump map on it. Yes I'll throw a few more objects in. Thank you for the help. It almost always takes a fresh pair of eyes to see something wrong.
Excellent.  Can't wait to see it when it's finished.  Get good capture dimensions and you could make some lovey desktops.

odd, it started hiding my faces once I got up to the 15k range

This could be because I made a playertype using said model, but I'm not certain.

Either way I know that with all of my guns (and other modding work) I have never even come close to breaching any sort of limit.

There is a limit per object in the blender dts exporter, but that can be overcome by splitting it to multiple objects.
