so its 8 30 to 9 30 wherever you live? So it'll be a wave of darkness :D

Will someone watch from space? That would pwn, and they fire a rocket to the 1 house that still has its lights on.

an hour without tf2? the things the government asks us to do...
The Grid isn't turning off, it's ok though; you ask us to do your homework for you.

Aww I'm sorry, has that been bugging you lately?

Not do, help, just thought it would be something more constructive to do then posting useless comments on the forums all day.

It's great you think that the National Grid will turn off because some lobbying group proclaims an hour free of electrical uses.

Isn't the event suppose to be symbolic anyway?

This crap again!

What will power the Uncle Sam America speakerphone firework shooter "Real Action" Iwo Jima flag raise 21 gun salute-automatic 12 gauge skeet shooting extravaganza endorsed by Billy Mays?

My sanity?! NO!!

MY NEW SIGNATURE :D

Idea: On March 28th, from 8:30 to 9:30 PM, turn on everything. Find every appliance in your house that needs to be plugged into an out let, plug it in, and turn it on. Make sure that those appliances are using as much energy as possible (Example: If it's a fan, turn it up to high).

Glad I could help in the name of the United States of America!!!!

USA! USA! USA! USA!

I've raged so many mini essays about this stuff so much I'll just leave you with this:
  • Earth Hour does nothing because power plants produce the energy they expect to be used.
  • Energy is not stored in our current energy grid. That is a big part of those GE smart grid commercials you see, but it is still far from an ideal situation.
  • Earth hour encourages the wasting of energy. The population needs to demonstrate a lower average power consumption over time to convince power plants to send out less energy across the lines.
  • Earth Hour was started by a group of eco-cigarettes who do not understand very basic knowledge of our energy system.
  • forget off Earth Hour.
Exactly.

Hell, maybe I'll just go ahead and get as many electrical things on as possible for Earth Hour.

I would be very sad if valve turned off its severs

Anyone who's going "omg i'm gonna be cool by turning on everything" is really not clever or cool at all
