Has anyone played this game? http://www.datarealms.com/
This game is fun!
Its about a world of war with the commanders being brains.
the objective of the game is to destroy the other teams brain.
This game is fun in muitiplayer.
for full effect you will want to use a gamepad.
but no online play and has huge system requirements.
The are also mods for this game as its hugely customizable.
Like teleports, helecopters, tanks, walkers, giants, gundams and lightsabers the list keeps
going.
My favorite mod the the dawn of war mod.
The thing that sets this apart from others is its physics like firing a revolver will knock you to the floor.
While the battle is going you can mine gold to call in more guys and all.
Oh ya if your getting shot at your gun can break!
You head can get blown off legs shot off and hands pull apart.
With out legs you cant walk and need to fly.
With out hands you cant hold guns.
With out a head.... you know what happens.

A fun this to do is control a dropship and kill solders with the engines.
You can be a easy fool in this game to take this for example.

You see a dropship coming in and with your minigun you fire on instinct
You blow up its engine and it spins to the ground and crushes you.

This game is not finished yet but I hope it does get finished.

This actually looks pretty sweet.

It just so happens that my computer monitor has too high of a resolution to go full screen in this game. How the hell is that even possible? :/

Nah, its not completely completed. You can just buy it and have it for when it is finished. Its definitely still in beta.

Yeah, hes still working on the campaign :d

Crab rockets are still the funniest things in the world

Probably one of the funnest games on my computer.

I am annoyed at him. He promised a finished game. I purchased it.

Now...if he were making timely updates with actual interesting content in them...then I would be satisfied. But NOOOoooooo...

Every damn email he sends out just tells us about how he bought some guns, or won an award or discovered a new webpage or fixed some minor back-end function.

i bought it and its boring.. like it could be fun if they expanded the concept..

but theres sooo little to do.. and nothing gets updated

And about him trying to win some stupid awards all of the time.. maybe if he actually added a decent amount of content it would.

It is just as bad as all the webcomic creators selling out. As soon as they get enough fans they start peddling their damn t-shirts and going off for weeks to conventions...to sell more merchandise. This would be OK...if they actually continued on with the comic itself.

Once again...Penny Arcade seems to set the standard. Not only do they run numerous huge operations like Child's Play (raising millions for hospitalized kids) and setting up massive expos, they also keep making new comics.

On the other side, you have cheap bastards like the creator of VGcats whom rarely has the time to make a new comic and yet somehow manages to end every convention within a 3000 mile radius.

Same thing applies to Data and Cortex Command. I demand content!

So is this worth 25ish dollars to unlock stuff or should I just stick with the demo for my daily dose of 30 minute fun?

I love this game with a passion, it and Blockland are the only games I fool around with nowadays.

It's fun for a little while but gets dull fast.

I also posted two threads about this.
