Author Topic: Will Wright leaves Maxis and EA  (Read 2212 times)

Will Wright seems like a cool person to meet.

This is some epic news :D! When my friend told me I got excited, we can look forward to WW games that aren't forgeted over by EA.

EA is o.k.
The only thins i don't like about them is there ability to copy them self's and not come out with anything original. (other than the sims of course)

Half of their stuff is sequels to their games. Its quite annoying.
Battlefield series? that's a good example.
Keep in mind EA doesn't make the games, they publish them and provide creative "influence".

"censorship by the editors"

Also, the second biggest game publisher isn't just going go bankrupt.
And you know this how?
Also, if EA didn't publish them, someone else could've. That or they'd push them onto the markets themselves.

Why does everyone have beef against EA? They produce some of my favorite games, like Battlefield and Sim City. Spore was okay too.

I don't see why everyone hates an extreme hatred for EA. They publish most of the best selling games, these include.

  • Crysis
  • Mirror's Edge
  • Battle Field
  • Left4Dead
  • The Sims
  • and some other stuff

So they don't make games, people, new news?

They have a history of completely asidine customer support service, as in if you call them for help they'll chew your ass out. It's pretty much common knowledge all over the place that EA has a tendency to treat its customers like stuff.

Valve > EA

After CS:S was made they decided to produce good games and stoped mass producing stuff. This can be seen in the quality of their maps.

This is good news to me except for this:

Tho this means Ea is in complete control of spore now, So Science spore is completely gone now

No scientific Spore makes me sad. :(

So, Half-Life through HL2 are bad, too?

Multiplayer that is.

HL - eh

HL2 - would buy it, if just in the orange box. I would prefer to play the episodes though. Have done the part in Ravenhome (spelling?) at my friends house. Playable but uneventful for the first half.

hl1's multiplayer was decent for its time.

And what about Team fortress 1? /classic?
