That newer video games have more glitches compared to older ones? It might just be me but I think it's true.

Because they are a lot more complicated?

That don't count in here :3

Eh.

Think about these three games (and more)

Mario 64.
Majora's Mask.
Ocarina of Time.

eh, no, not so much.

As long as there has been video games there have been irritating glitches, the 1995-2000 era computer games have some really outstanding examples of stuff packed as game that were later patched to be playable.

It's true
I've been digging through my computer's folders and found Dink Smallwood there is nothing wrong with it. Now go play L4D and you can find some.

This

That would be true if it wasn't just an excuse.

An example is a game like mechwarrior 2, during development they discovered that unless the machine it was run on had a colossal amount of memory it would not be able to render more than one or two mechs at a time (by colossal amount I'm talking about 100megs or so, a lot back then). So they put their brains to work and found (invented something that didn't exist before) a way to do it and still managed to have the game look great (by the standards back then). That took time and effort, something a lot of developers don't want to invest in these days, no, not those. Big flashy graphics on the other hand...

Ironically if you look at the sales figures the Nintendo DS has sold more units than anything else combined and it's graphically on par with a Nintendo 64.

Good thing those other systems have really cool explosions and stuff because man, isn't sacrificing glitch-free game play for "true to physics" blood splatter art great.

I think that some reviewers over-egzagerate on the glitches. They said that Quantum of the Solace was very glitchy. Yet I only found one that can be easily fixed.

Even so you had to fix it and I suppose that it has to be fixed is the reviewers complaint. Buying a game that you must first "fix" is a little irritating.

You shouldn't have to work to game.

...unless you playing a MMORPG, in which case: happy farming.

Fallout 3 got alot of glitches some of them are just the texture wich messed up

Great example: Movie games.
