Why do people hate Halo so much?

Multiplayer is fun until some college sonofabitch runs in the server using every single exploit he can find, and using every single vehicle to try and hunt you down then repeatedly melee you when you aren't looking.

He means that everyone that plays it turns out talkin like dis n makin 0 sence. Most of them post in suggestions saying "i wan a halo wrthog. cookys for person who make." That was an example of what he means by the people that play halo.

I love the Half Life games because of the fact that your health doesn't regenerate and you can carry an armory of weapons. You don't die if you just stand for 5 seconds when your getting shot at but it still impacts you later in the level when you have lower health and die. You don't just start out with some automatic rifle and pistol that gets thrown out at the first site of a better replacment. When your in Iraq, marines don't just duck behind cover to heal a gunshot.

True dat. I like the way you can heal in games but healing automatically is kind of cheap.

The only thing I hate is how people think it's such a great game. I've played all three at my friends, and they all seemed the same and in general, had nothing special about them.

Halo's alright, it's a normal run-of-the-mill quality game and it's alright.

The over-hyping screeching starfish community that supports it, not so much.

I do like the singleplayer mode and coop, though. Forge is mediocre at best.

Thanks, Ghoul, for totally ignoring the players that don't do that stupid stuff. I like Halo, I've read most of the books, and I love the series. The difference is I don't loving worship it, and I don't troll around xboxlive.

Most people I encounter do this, so I hardly play online myself. It's irritating when you get a 9 year old kid who has no reason to have a life talking as if he's the king of England all because he managed to do something totally random and was most likely the result of a glitch abuse or spawnkilling. Of course I dislike those who also go in and play teamkill just for the heck of it. The good people I do encounter, however, are hardly ever on because they have lives. Go figure. lol

I don't play matchmaking. I don't like it. I always get screwed with the gametype or map. Custom games are funner.

i am a computer gamer.
i love first person shooters.
saying this, halo has everything i would hate about a shooter in one stuffty package.

its not fair to state, but again; consoles are the poor man's gaming computer.
thus, you get what you pay for. horsestuff graphics and terrible handling.
i get sick to my stomach watching a console gamer run in first person, loving joysticking his accuracy around
