Author Topic: (Tutorial) How To Port Forward On a Mac  (Read 60354 times)

First what you do is Open up Airport Utility, Then click in the menu "File" and go down to "Configure Other"

Then this menu will pop up

Enter into it your routers LAN IP address (for most it is 10.0.1.1) and your WPA Password (another menu will pop up and you have to enter it again)

                                            ^
Then Click the Button that says advanced, and another menu will pop up

Click Port Mapping and then the "+" symbol

Add what I have here and then add your LAN IP Address (Not WAN)

After that click the "Continue" button and let your airport restart, After that is done you should be able to host.

Now, don't host horrible servers.

Never mind it didn't work, do not love.

Did you follow the steps exactly? or are you using an older version of Mac OSX

you get  :cookie:X10000 if this works

This should probably be stickied.

This is only if you use airport as your internet and everything. I port forwarded basically the same way you do on Pc on Mac.

So, how do you open Airport Utility. :(

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm not very good at the computer.

The only problem with this is (I've learned from experience) sometimes if you shutdown your computer by unplugging it or by the button, then it deletes it. I don't know why, then you have to do it all over again. But really, once you do it once it's quite simple to do it again.

I ported :D, for other programs though, not just blockland.

Where do I find my LAN IP Address?

leggo your on a mac!!!(whoa)

ok then there are 2 ways( i belive)

you can start a lan server and look at the consol or....(I guess there is only one)
