When someone 'takes' your build, you still have it, correct? There's the major difference.

I see your point, but you don't have your credit left.  I don't care that someone out there in the world has my build, I care that I'm not getting the credit I deserve for making it.

And then it comes back to the whole trying to gain respect for the 'popularity contest' ideal. Wouldn't you rather build to get better at building, rather than trying to gain fame from it? Maybe in Psycho's server, there's a whole different style of play, which you might even find interesting, you know, try to lighten up and have fun?

I'm not trying to gain fame.  Just because I actually want people to know that I made something that they have or are using doesn't mean I'm trying to win any popularity contest.

Here is a tip to prove that this was your build:
Hide in at least two locations in the inner workings of the build:
<insert build owner's name here>'s build

Or something along the lines of that.
Or even better:
-Pick a random brick
-Memorize its location
-Make an event that displays on the screen:

<insert build owner's name here>'s build

That way, if they try to put it in gallery saying its theirs; you march into that topic with a screenshot (a video is even better!) of you showing this in the build.

But until he claims that he made it, its not stealing. Be an adult, join the server and request that he displays credit for your hard work; Instead of posting it on the forums.
