Author Topic: [Tutorial]Making Add-Ons With Blender(Not Modeling)  (Read 155122 times)

I tried putting my model in-game for a little test... can someone maybe explain why this happened:

The mesh is all falling apart, some of it is completely missing, and wtf is with the neck jutting down like that? (Note: the point the mesh comes to is where the wrench and such mount, if that helps.) As you can see in my previous posts the model looks nothing like that in blender, can I have some help here? Also, i changed the size of the triangle strips when exporting... could that be the cause of the mesh splitting apart? I also crash whenever i press shift (T_T) but im guessing thats just because i have no animations yet.

Here's a solution: make your own model. You imported it from somewhere else, and it wasn't meant to be in this game. You're just gonna waste time trying to fix that madness, the model probably fuxed up as soon as you imported it into blender too.

Should I see a difference in blender? Because it doesn't seem to be working. It model still "glows". My model is for a playertype, when I use events to spawn one in-game, it has normal lighting. But when I make a minigame, and choose the playertype <insert my playertype here>. My textures glow.

EDIT: Would it help if I PM a video of me doing the steps you said?
yea, youll see a difference. The cube will change colors and your model will become slightly darker. Also, make sure you select your model FIRST or it will not work.

One: I could never make something that good.
Two: I imported it from sketchup, just as with all of my other models.
Three: It looks fine in Blender.
Four: You dont have to be mean :c
Five: Aren't video games in general a waste of time?

One: Then don't make it that good.
Two: Yea but you didn't make it. Fine, go ahead, try and fix it.
Three: Everything looks fine in blender.
Four: I'm not being mean.
Five: Then why are you on here? Go do something else.

The root sequence is when the player isnt moving at all, correct? and if so, I want the player to still have an animation when the client isnt pressing any buttons (like a "stand" animation for when he/she is standing still) to keep it realistic. Is that possible?

If my constant nagging about this thing upset you in any way, Im sorry. I know I'd get a little irritated if some random noob I didn't know was constantly bugging me about making add-ons, so I apologize for not thinking about the fact that other people have lives too, and not realizing how many posts I made in one day.

Search up how to make an idle animation, I haven't tried. I'm pretty sure it's possible.
