Author Topic: Strange keys/buttons on your keyboards.  (Read 3150 times)

So, I was here typing on my laptop, and I noticed a little button in between the left and right click buttons, and I've never actually pressed it. Turns out it scrolls in whatever direction you press it. I'm pleasantly surprised. :D

Who else has weird buttons on your computer that you either haven't pressed before or that do odd things?

I also have a key that actually does the same as the right click button, so it's pointless, a green button in the corner that I'm about to try after I'm done here, and another key that does this: €

EDIT: The green button seems to do absolutely nothing. My computer was just being slow, it runs Acer Empowering Software, which manages stuff like battery usage.

I have yet to find a use for my function key.

On my laptop I have an 'FN' key. What does that do? :o

I have a gaming pad on the left bit of my keyboard that ha WASD surrounded by many usual gaming buttons.

Do you have a Zboard?

That's your function key, it's supposed to control things like battery use, network, etc.

If you have numlock on, the numbers replace letters. Hold FN down and press the letter to get the letter with numlock on instead of the number.

At random times my keyboard when I want a question mark it gives me an "E" and some of the other ones get screwy as well, I don't know why.

That too.

Your keyboard language setting messed up.

My FN key sucks. Its zoom consists of changing the screen resolution

I have a button that just has ¢ on it. I'm on a laptop, and I'm not sure why it would have that...

I got a Zboard a while back, it was the worst 30 bucks I ever spent. Sticky keys, messed up buttons, and all together a piece of stuff.

Wow you people are stupid
I couldnt live without my mouse-scroll :O
