When a server start/next map players get a chance to make a squad and name it what you are doing, lets say I named my squad after one of the heli's, that means I'll pretty much spend the entire game flying a helicopter around picking up squads and dropping them off, though you really have to be skilled for that. All I do in this mod is lead squads or be in the squads as a combat medic, you still go around capping points but it takes absolutely ages, some times you spend the entire round defending a single point. Rounds can last up to an hour on average, when you "die" you lay on the ground for about 1-10 mins until a medic comes and saves you, you can give-up but that can cost Reinforcements points which is what you don't want to do. Weapons are somewhat accurate, unlike other reality mods for games, project reality actually lets you aim, I've killed people from a fair distance though I missed about 5-8 times before I even hit them once. The game modes are really great as well, insurgency is the US vs Terrorist pretty much, as a terrorist you get your car bombs and stolen RPG with WWII weapons.
There's a lot to be explained about this mod, all I can say is if you're looking for a Reality Mod that really is enjoyable and isn't too realistic, Project Reality really delivers. They're training server but they mostly empty, my suggestion is to join a server and sit in a squad and ask questions as you go along, quite a lot of people are new to it as well, every time I've been in a server we had at least 1 new guy.
