I was thinking we'll probably need Hand-Held radios.

EDIT:

Wha tthe hell happened to the antenna?

Lol, that looks like a squished table-top radio.

Same thing that happened to the tabletop radio.

I'm thinking the HandHelds will cost about the same amount of resources as the table ones, and can transfer to all channels, but only the person holding it can hear it.

Ug, I could do it. But I'm not going to make you have to say ", over" for this one. If you have it out, you use it. But then again, it would message everyone around you anyway, so it would work perfectly.

Yesh - If you have one out, you use it.

Normal chat uses the radius.
Team chat brings out the radio when used, radius-messages people in a smaller radius (spying!) and messages anyone on your radio channel.

Tom

I commented out the team radius chat and made it a help chat

"Toggle Team Chat" command?

Radio and radius chat should be easily accessible. Help chat is less likely to be used...

I spent so much time on Team Radius chat.. Oh well. I guess you could make it so when you press y (there's a parent for it somewhere) it takes out a hand held radio if you have one, and then you talk using that, otherwise, it messages you saying "You do not have a hand held radio to use!" Or something like that.

Even with help commands, people are still gonna have questions. Help Command will also be useful for getting an admin, like if someone's spamming.

Why not just make the HH radio a normal item?

Solution: Help chat is a channel on the radio.

Everybody should have a hand-held radio (not in inventory, just auto-used image when you type something in chat) but its range depends on whether there are radio tower bricks near you.

Also, you could allow people to get a second "reciever" (as an actual item this time) which would allow them to recieve on more than one channel but still only transmit on one - intercepting communications of another while still talking with your group.

TDM has that for team chat

Why do you call it a parent?

Here's the sled in game.  The dogs have no eyes currently but that will be added.  The reason that the sled is black is because I made the frame temporarily black to make it easier to see the separate pieces.  I modified the sled a little in order to make it easier to add mount points.  Please give feedback.

EDIT: forgot to add pics  XD
