TF2 is gonna pull even more richard moves in the future. From what I heard, the hats are going to be even rarer to unlock, that or you gotta buy them. But, it's just a rumor.

Hats are already impossibly rare, and Valve wouldn't make you buy stuff. They have that attitude toward DLC, which is why the L4D survivor DLC was free.

Like everything else we build, we'll be iterating on this system for a while, and have a lot of features planned. Some of the next things we have planned are:

- Item trading. This is why you're finding duplicates.

2 Flare guns, 2 Sandman (Sandmen?), 2 Sandviches and a Huntsman after around 10 hours.
The only new item was the Huntsman.
