I just read the wiki.
Hm. Never noticed how useful timetables and that transfer setting could be.

I now have a great plan for a railway business. :)

I caused my most expensive trains to crash into each other because I forgot to make signals what do I do is the train able to be fixed?

No they are gone forever. It will take a few months for the track to clear.

I refuse to make signals because I only have a vague idea of how they work. I'm totally okay with spending more money on track, I've done it before, and I can do it again.

Oh, wow.
Guys, I've got to say, learning signals will help you a hell of a lot. And if you really sit down and try to learn them, it doesn't take too long to catch on.
It only took me about an hour and a half.

Plus. Once you get good with trains you can own the entire map in a fairly short period of time.

I dont know how too use signals so im using bridges instead

I figured out blocks in like 10 minutes on my own and presignals and such in 5 minutes with the wiki.

Also,
If you use signals, you can save a lot of money and eliminate any possibility of a crash. (i.e. - use a two line railway to manage traffic between two 5 - 6 line stations)

I should open up the save I have from Bisjac's server and post pictures of my monster cloverleafs.

Tic Tac and I started a game in the 1850s. We're running eGRTV and North American Train Renewal, which adds cars as early as 1700 and trains into the early 1800s. It's also running av8ion but we aren't anywhere near being able to build airports so I can't really comment on the planes. It's actually kind of fun having a game where you don't make insane amounts of money and because of the scale of income we are working on it's actually not that hard to go bankrupt. My most valuable train only makes 12k a year, compare to other games where I'll have 10+ trains making ~200k.

I have 5 trains and one mail buggy. It's kind of funny because the horse and buggy counts as a standard road vehicle so when it breaks down your horse catches on fire. The horse drawn "passenger trams" are still hooked onto overhead electric wires.
