any game by anyone should start 1950, the cheaper vehicles come out as new companies should be able to easily afford and replace them.
2000+ and the monorails can cost half a mill per train, that's more money then you even start.

i don't know why you dont have trains. do you have lots of new train graphics downloaded that are replacing vehicles?
