is it a train/tram? there are better ways to make this idea work then having a frikin drive around vehicle.
not everything has to be a car in this game.
same as the fail attempts people have made on heli's.
i would pay 100 bucks to the guy that can make a real helicopter. Thats scripted properly and actually flys right, not floats around like the stupid carpet, or a copy of the plane script.
with a simple observation heli model, not some loving huge military handicappedness.
hell for 100 bucks i wouldn't want to share it, would be a bis server thing. im gonna find a person now for this small contracted job ):D
I would make this any day because I too always wanted a good, compacted toy-like helicopter in blockland. I could model it fine I figure, make it small and simple with as little triangles as possible, but I don't know how to do the simple things script-wise needed to get it working. I have a pretty good idea of what to do though. In a broad sense you need to overwrite the forward/backward y-translational functions and replace them with equivalent z-translational functions. After that you give the vehicle a very slight amount of gravity (enough to keep afloat, but also enough to steadily make it drop in altitude). This would basically give it everything a regular helicopter has, minus maybe the turning-in-place feature, I'm not sure about that one.
I don't know how to do the overwriting bit or the new translation function bit so that's where it stops for me. In principle it should work if the new translational function is identical in form to the old y-translational one, since the original function accounted for where the vehicle was facing in order to execute any translational actions. I also figure you could make this very simple by overwriting only certain aspects of the original function but I have no idea when it comes to that stuff.
The only ever problem it had was a missing file(texture file).
Quality product right here folks!
