I had one for The Sims 2 for a while. They're just barbie dolls, you'd have to install a special skin.

When you register Sims 3 you get a few more things, says on the launcher. But really its just a scam to make EA money that was lost in pirating.

Actually when you register you get a new town (Riverview) and $10 to spend in the shop. It's been that way months before it was pirated.

Wouldn't bother buying any more once you've spend that $10 though. It costs $20 for some random furniture set that looks stuff, for example.
