I don't know how to host with this stuffforget server thing. Every time I get stuck at "Logging in.." no matter what settings I use nor how I connect. Yes, I have read the FAQ and done everything correctly in properties file. It just won't work.
Waiting for next server release then...

Got it working now, but my PC can't handle hosting and me being in server at the same time. ;_;
My client just crashes when connecting to server and spawning.

HOW TO GET SNOW ON SMP

1. Goto singleplayer and generate the map *REMEMBER WHICH WORLD YOUR ON*
2. delete and generate the world until its snowy
3. Goto your appdata
4. Goto Roaming
5. Goto .minecraft
6. Goto saves
7. Goto the world you used
8. Copy everything there to your world folder (Should be on desktop, or the folder you saved minecraft_server.exe)
9. Delete everything in world
10. Put all the stuff from the save data into the world folder
11. Host!

i won't be playing SMP until furnances work, my stuff doesn't get cleared constantly, and it's generally less buggy.

I'm able to deal with no mobs, I play on peaceful and I grow my own food.

Yes you can actually.

Not if their difficulty is set to peaceful though. Otherwise, yes. They will generally move out of the fire first though.
