Also, I really think notch should just make all blocks fall, if they're not adjacent to another block or something. I know sand/gravel fall no matter what, but I'd really like to see all blocks that aren't connected to something, fall. No more ugly floating stuff.

Unless they have a floating thing hooked up to them.
(Notch said obsidian would make things float a long time ago.)

You misunderstand, blocks would fall if they are floating and not supported or adjacent to any other blocks

although I do like the idea of cave-ins, but it would get annoying if rocks fell on you and you lost all your tools at random. Maybe a warning sign before the roof collapses.
