Whenever I try to install a mod I don't finish loading.
Perhaps 1.3 has changed this, what with the new mojang logo. (assuming the mojang logo has to do with meta-inf and it's deletion)

Also, I port-forwarded for Minecraft correctly with Portforward.com, but after that I couldn't join.

As you can see, my router allows Minecraft, and I went in terminal and ran minecraft_server.jar through it, and then I added the extra line of java, and I got my IP
but, when I try to join, it keeps timing out. :c

Try porting it with the public IP?
I assume youdidn't because you don't have a public IP adress on there.

I followed it exactly, but as I reread it I noticed he put in UDP rather than TCP. I had done TCP. Trying UDP right now..
But, you can change UDP and TCP in the image that they supply for some reason. :o

I tried hosting a server, followed every instruction correctly but I couldn't connect to my server.
