I remember reading that minecraft was a one-time payment. NOT IN SOME LEGAL BULLstuff. How hard is that to understand, I never read any clause.
I don't think anyone is even sure what we're arguing about.MINECRAFT IS A ONE TIME PURCHASE NOW: Y/Ni'm like 80% sure its YES, when I bought it i'm sure i remember reading you get all future updates for free. and i bought after beta. and if you're going to stuff all over me, please provide me with a link that proves me wrong, not just your word. because i dont really trust that many of you.
Who's fault is that?Anyways, he said that Beta purchasers were legally obligated to pay for the game if he wanted to charge them for future updates. He never said he would do it.
What you get for purchasingPlease note that Minecraft is currently a work in progress and NOT a finished product! The sandbox mode available right now. However, you may buy a discounted beta account today, which will also include the full game!As we at Mojang continue to release more complete builds of the game, we will also be reducing the discount gradually until we reach the final version and full price of the product. So the earlier you buy, the better value you get! Although we are very passionate about this project, we cannot guarantee that it will be completed - that's why we offer the discounted price When you purchase the game, you pay for it as it is right now. Future updates are an added bonus.
In fact, let me go to that copyright information page.If you actually read stuff instead of going off on what some handicaps tell you, you will find out that they only say stuff about 'update costs' because the price of the game will increase once beta stage is done. You still get the updates, no matter when you bought the game. All Mojang is trying to say is that if you buy it earlier, you pay less than others. They are not saying you have to buy the game again just because you bought it after someone else. That is a stupid idea.
Hm, earlier in the year it said that updates might not be free for Beta purchasers...
Minecraft Beta: December 20, 2010The next epoch is upon us! The skies are trembling, pigs are growing wings, and the nether is turning awfully cold, as Minecraft slowly crawls out of Alpha..Minecraft will reach Beta status on December 20th, 2010.With Beta comes a larger focus on polish and content, and we’ll start early on with adding proper modding support with a stable API, and we’d love all input we can get on this from the modders out there. We’ll also add some kind of non-intrusive narrative to the game to help drive the game experience early on, and to provide some kind of late game goal. There will be a bigger focus on testing and stability as well, with more time between updates. When the game enters beta, the price will rise to 14.95 Euro.We will also change the license to remove the line that promises all future versions of the game for free. Please note that this change only affects people who buy the game after December 20, so if you got the game for during alpha, you will still get all future updates for free, despite this change. A promise is a promise.Buying the game during beta will include all updates up until release, of course, and bug patches will be free.
