I wish I could run it at more than 2-10fps. :c

Slow cigarettes, there is a mod for optimizing Minecraft for your computer that has gains of 30 fps. I used to use it, I forget the name, though.

Bug Fixes:
Game no longer crashes when Detector Rails are placed.
Blocks can now be placed on Snow / Water.
Rain no longer goes through translucent blocks.
New Bugs:

Using tools in SMP will crash the game with "internal server error" on some servers!
Attacking anything with tools in SMP will crash the game with "internal server error" on some servers.
If you resize the window (no-fullscreen) after typing in the world name and the seed, they both will be reseted to "New World" and a blank seed.
In SMP you will get an "dirt screen" when taking something out of the Workbench.
When a snow block is destroyed on a leaf block, either by having a block placed on it, or being mined with anything, all connected snow and minecart tracks are destroyed that are level with it. The minecart tracks drop resources normally, but the snow will only drop one snowball per area if mined with a shovel.

The "Web" is a new item introduced in Beta 1.5. It is not generated or crafted in any way, although it is speculated that it will be properly added in Beta 1.6. Current thoughts are that spiders will nest in it, shoot the web at you to slow you down, or drop it as loot.

Moving into a web limits your movement abilities. When you are "inside" the web, you will move at a speed equal to about 15% of the normal walking speed. Additionally, jumping will vibrate the player, akin to jumping in a 2 block high space. Unlike water, however, falling into a web will not prevent fall damage, although it will be delayed until you make contact with the ground.

So now that I have most of all the achievements, I wanted to try When the Pigs Fly :3
Suddenly, when I was making my landing area, this happened:

YAY UNEXPECTED RAIN! I had to make a little roof to wait for the rain to stop, but I was too impatient and kept building. After it stopped, this is how the landing area looked like this:

Then I decided to INVedit some saddles and a spawner. I load up the world again, and YAY! Piggies! :D
Didn't have to use the spawner. So I start hitting this pig so it goes near the border, and when he did, he fell, but not on the landing area :c

Oh well, everything went better than expected.

I've only had it rain/snow on me once.

But my sister has had it happen to her a lot.

Completing or near-completing the flying pig one seems to trigger weather. Yay.

Just spent an hour de-icing and de-snowing the grounds of my castle (which I built on a lake) intending to place dirt, stone and wood flooring after I'd finished it. Got half way across and it snowed and the lake froze again.

Damn.

Moral of the story: Don't build on a lake in tundra.
