A. A motherloving ghast spawned at the portal.(Its very VERY rare, but it does happen.)
Or
B.  Someone else traveling int he neither found their portal, and it lead them straight to the faction's base.

We keep having forget ups in the chain of command and people pretending to be leaders or going out and doing stupid stuff on their own.  We had great front door security, but they came in via the Nether portal.

Until this server resets I'm not playing.
