You place the zip you downloaded into your texturepacks folder in .minecraft, and yes, you can switch your texture packs at the main menu.

I would play with you guys on the crafting factions server, But i can't leave the main room. The doors close on me before i can walk through them(Even if i manage to walk through them i get teleported back out almost instantly) and then never open again.. So i can only move around if someone else opens them

texture pack stuffs being annoying. download stuff, extract stuff to file, try to change texture stuff in Minecraft, stuff isn't there. what do.

You're not supposed to extract it, you only place the zip in the texture pack folder.

apparently the stupid loving minecraft folder likes to cease to exist when I loving need to get into it. when I click on "texture/otherstuff", the screen goes back and stops responding. so, the texture files and stuff only exist when I access it from the game, and it crashes when I try to go to the file. I somehow end up in a loving paradox where i'm never able to swtich textures or anything. the forget do I do?
