Yeah. Same thing happens to me.
Once you get full diamond gear, an amazing house, and a bunch of wolfs the game gets boring. The only thing you can really do is just start a new game.

but for srs, you should probably make a project for your self, a long-term project, set some goals other than the usual "build house" "get diamond"

Is mod loader or something of that sort actually required to use mods? I know some mods aren't compatible with it, is there some other way to execute mods or something?

I want some giant project, and please no statues or that kind of stuff, more like cities or a castle. (I'd like to build something from a game)

And YES, I'd use TooManyItems and other building-helpful mods.
