Nope, 1900 was 2k pages ago.

There's no adventure mode what are you smoking. 1.8 is nicknamed the 'adventure update'. Notch said it's called this to encourage more people to adventure and stuff, so improved combat, more things to find through the land, rivers, biomes, mobs, etc. There's not going to be an 'adventure mode'.
ah ok sorry i dont stay uptodate with everything minecraft 1.8

but you're not going to be able to play without the exp gain and everything

I'm not playing Minecraft alot, busy with football and stuff. But playing 1.8 after football practice sounds fun :D

Also, do the endermen make weird noises?

Probably not, especially if Notch is aiming for creepiness. Although, I suppose it would be equally creepy if they made really quiet, creepy-as-stuff noises.

Exp will do something eventually, anybody have suggestions for what exp could be used for? Maybe some sort of super breaker, where you can press something to mine everything in 1 click for 10 seconds. Uses up exp bar though.

At PAX the sounds of endermen was the zombie sounds.

I re-read the upcoming features page.

I kinda needed to wipe up my keyboard and screen afterwards.

booooring, we need a more ambient whistle maybe, an echo or a loud loving scream.

I think this is a place-holder like endermen drop diamonds.

boooring, the endmen should drop black sapphires instead which can be collected and made into a black portal that sends you into a dark version of the far lands, hh˙∂˙˙√´ª

That sounds interesting, a parallel shadow dimension of sorts, where Endermen will have a higher spawn rate, and perhaps a few other mobs exclusive to the dimension would exist there. What those could be, I'm not sure.

That also raises the question of what that dimension would be made out of, and what dimension exclusive resources you could find there as well. Perhaps those black sapphires you mentioned could be mined there, and then be made into weapons and armor?

Hmm, maybe a different variant of trees could be found here as well, a sort of "shadow" tree, to be used in the making of such weapons.

This sounds intresting. But what if Diamond drops aren't a placeholder? I mean, they can only be damaged by water, and we have no idea how much health they have. What are you gonna do, throw a loving bucket at them?

I'd much rather prefer the alternate dimension though, this is the Adventure Update.

I assume that they have 10 hearts of health, just like the player, and I'm sure they can be damaged by the usual means.

I'm also pretty sure Diamonds were a confirmed placeholder, although, I'm not completely sure.
