They cant teleport that fast though. And they teleport about 6 blocks, you could shoot them with arrows before they see you :P

The "scary" mob cant be Endermen, Notch coded them and the scary mob was made by Jeb.  I'm thinking it's the Silverfish because of how they spawn.
