Yes, you will have to refill the battery's with water over time, they will empty over time and at one point, the reactor will overheat and explode X5 the size of TNT.

although it gives a lot of power, it can be very useful and dangerous to use, use it at you're own risk.

I've set up a cobble generator with Buildcraft that will let flowing water touch flowing lava, push the cobblestone out of the way with pistons, retract, and allow another to be created and pushed out. I use a miner to get the block, but it pushes those pipes to the side that the miners make when digging down, and the machine stops when the piston can no longer push all the pipes.
I would have to remove them for it to continue, is there a way to delete or break those blocks?

We made that on Zero's server, and then I put our one obsidian at the point it stops pushing and all we do is run up and pick at the cobble we want. Don't see why you're too lazy to go grab it. :P
