Well, you could take that way. I started up a private server so I could /give me an egg and get data values, but the only one you get is Spawn egg. Must need some special applied variables you can't /give. Good mob spamming protection, though. Eggs spawned with /give only say "Spawn."

You could have looked this up easily, but the number pertains to your level. So if you're level 6, you can get an enchantment up to level 6. Surrounding a table with bookshelves causes the level of enchantments provided to be raised, and more chance of better enchantments.

a good way to place bookshelves around enchantment tables are

X    T    X
X          X
X X X X X
X=shelf T=table
then make another layer of shelves, this gives you the full usage to almost all the enchanting levels
speaking of that, you need to kill to enchant, the XP and level thing, the green bar, raises depends how how many/what type of enemy you kill. levels = level of enchanting for enchantment. there are several benefits to enchanting, like efficiency, fortune, etc.
