Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6728961 times)

With computercraft you have to learn an entire new coding language, with redpower you can easily string up simple redstone contraptions without getting in depth.
hey man you get what you pay for.

I can't find any of the mods that you guys use like industrial and such

Started a new world, spawned in an absolutely gorgeous valley. Found a shelf near the base of a tall mountain, I'm going to excavate and make it into a Bag End-esque abode. I'll need a ton of picks. Stone is in good supply during the excavation, however wood is going to be difficult to come by in this biome. I shall have to live off what I can find or travel to adjacent forest biomes and have at the trees with an axe or two. I'll start in the morning.

The valley has a spring starting near the top of a mountain and cascading all the way down to the bottom, where happy pigs and chickens frolic among the flowers.
When I get the chance, I'll bomb this area and turn it into a quarry. That'll teach those little pink forgeters to frolic in my valley.

yeah, but not many people do it

yeah, but not many people do it

how i learned to use industrial craft was from lets plays and trial and error. i have no clue how to start a server with mods D: the let's play i learned how was from: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37rjSYqGLNs&feature=channel_video_title

Is it possible to redirect the BUKKIT startup script thing to open the MinecraftServer.jar? I've been trying for ages to get a server working from the jar (for mods) but gave up and just use bukkit plugins which are great, but not exactly what I want.

If it's not, then I followed the tutorial to the letter (apart from pathnames obviously) but it's still not working.

Strictly speaking I didn't spawn in the valley; I spawned near it. As such, the seed may not be precisely as I described it.

I'm digging an 8x8x33 shaft down into the mountain to serve as a decorative sort of skylight for my house. I'll line the finished shaft with cobblestone and top it with a dome of glass. I'll need digging music.

So I won't line the inside with cobblestone; while it is in great supply during the excavation of a mountain, the risk of falling is too great. I shall make smooth stone and replace the dirt portions of the well(mostly near the top) with smooth stone, so it eventually will resemble a large well with a glass top.

These hills are truly brimming with coal, I swear.

I'm finally building a bridge across the river I settled next to. On the other side of the river is a snowy biome in which I plan to build a watch tower (so I don't get lost anymore ...), church, and chicken coop. My village is growing fast!
