Came buckets.

I always guessed Villagers and animals kept loving up NPC Village crops, as well as people loving up crops in other servers. You can still trample them if something hops around though, and that happens a lot.

Jeb made biomes more hilly, sometimes even mountains. AKA Forest biomes can have this kind of structure now.

I've played the new test thing and you can get terrain like that. I have a seed that spawns a forest near an npc village in a huge plain with a ravine running throug it.
