Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 7016075 times)

Nickelob and John inspired my friend to build a city. I think it's looking pretty good!

Cities have more than 2 buildings.

Cities have more than 2 buildings.
He's not finished yet.

Considering the design possibilities in Minecraft those buildings are pretty bland.

Oh christ has anyone posted Vechs' newest inventions?

Anti-Bridging Bomb

Recall Portal Kit

At least now I know that if I start picking up a bunch of ladders for no reason to get the forget outta there, although I have a feeling Vechs'll do something to decrease or eliminate those drops

go away you selfish smelly weirdo lmao.
what
how am I selfish

so I'm finally able to host a DAMN server after my dad helped me with portforwarding.

he changed the router password >:Y

but anyway if you haven't already seen it, using luaserver i've created:
  • a meteor spawning script
  • a script that makes a little glowstone light follow you (still trying to debug the light getting stuck)
  • some commands like /spawn set and /spawn goto, /clear items and /gm

and i plan to make:
  • a little bit of a big script that makes it so that everyone has a specific job only they can do and that they would depend on others for their jobs, such as woodcutting, mining, building and farming.
  • a script that makes rain damage you so that building has a purpose in ^
  • a script allowing you to lock doors
  • a replication of "Timber!" made to be more fair
  • perhaps a script that makes a certain random event happen when you mine gold, so it's not as useless.
  • a crafting or smelting recipe to turn gravel into flint
  • real-time events that can happen to you even when you're not in the server

so if I were to host this server, would you guys be interested, and what kind of scripts would you like to be made? the kind of scripts you wouldn't want to be made would be helpful too.

as a side note, i'm limited in some areas in that i can't necessarily create new item or block types.

Uh, maybe something that makes doors that villagers can enter but zombies can't knock down?

Make it so flint/steel can only light Netherrack
also make sure that specific jobs can still do other things, aka woodchuck can use a pickaxe

Dinnerbone changed Silverfish Blocks to mine the same speed as normal ones. He believes it wasn't intended to be like that. However, he changed it back. But he has heard the idea of adding Mossy Cobblestone Silverfish Blocks.

Why would you make flint and steel that specific, just for grief? Because lava grief is still incredibly effective.
Plus, you'd need it to still be able to make portals.

one of the most handicapped things i've ever read
yes he accidentally left out making portals
flint and steel only lighting netherrack + portals = no lighting buildings, trees, or anything on fire = no flint and steel griefing.

Controlled fires with trees can be nice for clearing areas, and I don't mind an atmospheric campfire. I guess you're right, but it depends on if you know everyone there.

Okay, so I have installed TerraFirmaCraft yesterday, and I have been trying to work with metals.

First of all, I get everything ready. Then, with the bloomery, I make some tin in a ceramic mold.
Then, I read on the wiki that it needs to be cooled to the brilliant white stage.
So, I figured that the metal needed to be out of the liquid stage, and in the solid stage.
After it is nearly out of the liquid stage, I got bored and left it on the anvil to go screw around with other items.

I come back to find that the metal disappeared straight out of it's container.

What am I doing wrong?
