When i am on survival mode and press I, everything in my inventory is a black silhouette, but when I go to the corner and hit creative everything goes to normal.

Big mistake, I spent the first few hours wandering around collecting wood to make charcoal and trying to find some hickory because I remembered it was a very high-burning wood, then the next few trying to get casseterite

and 2 after searching for a village for hours and hours (10 ingame minecraft days) i managed to rack up 8 stacks of 64 wood (timber mod <3)

i died from a creeper while walking. Couldn't hear him from the music I was playing.
