i like to think of mods that made things easier as a giant bag of stuff, the more you throw at minecraft the stufftier it gets

Some mods however are good.
But i never really liked mod packs.

The combination of TMI, Aether, airships and that one mod for better control over your graphics worked pretty nicely though.
I had a ton of fun exploring the Aether with the airships i created.
So yeah, i agree to a certain degree. :P
