Yeah, there's some useful mods and cool mods, but the ones that lets you make machines that can turn coal into diamonds?

boooooooooring
It takes 2 million diamonds to get to the next tier, so you keep expanding it

that sounds extremely monotonous

this is why i love computercraft

it's not one of those mods that only serves the purpose of automating a process or just adds more items/blocks. it does do these things, but it also does much more than that, in addition to the challenge of accomplishing what you want to do with the mod. it requires actual programming and problem solving skill.

there's a usability and a forgetaroundability side to the mod, and it makes the game easier and harder at the same time, while doubling the possibilities and fun you can have in minecraft.

better than stuffty ol' vanilla

It's a coincidence that I put 300+ hours into vanilla minecraft, but after I started downloading mods, my minecraft shortcut is collecting cobwebs.

Most mods ruin minecraft just because they're so mediocre. They add in pointless stuff that has nothing to do with minecraft itself.

I thought we were to the point of where we could actually agree that different people have different opinions

but I guess I was wrong

Welcome to the internet, where everyone tries to force their opinion on someone else.

I am sorry to say that, but in most cases (even in my case) i notice that the above is quite true.

We're past being past that point, being right even though what you're talking about is subjective is where it's at.

i don't think anyone here implied that their opinion was definite, unless i'm misreading

I have too much Redstone, What should I make that doesnt cost much of anything else?

a room full of redstone

thats like asking if you can make a book without any paper

Yet Redstone has functions, Books/Paper dont do much other than Enchanting or Decoration.

make a 47357936 bit 867396584 exobyte computer and play minecraft in minecraft

i meant just making something from raw redstone is impossible, you'd need pistons/dispencers/tripwires to do anything interesting
