The only difference is a few mods removed and added and updated.

They are both the same pretty much, but I just like tekkit a little better.

Yeah, it's 1.2.5 though, but it has turtles and stuff.

upsides to the update to 1.4.7:

• advanced computers with color and click support
• advanced monitors with color and touch support
• more turtle types (only mining, farming and melee are actually useful imo, lumberjack and shovel are just stupid lol)
• more turtle functions
• a better excavate program that deposits items in a chest, attacks mobs in its way, and refuels itself
• turtles have the ability to craft stuff
• labeled turtles can be converted to different types (wireless, crafty) without losing their label and programs
• turtles are able to attack and interact with entities
• turtles can place items in chests
• turtles can pick up items from chests or from the ground
• turtles can compare items against each other in their inventory
• turtles can place signs with text
• turtles can move items around in their inventory (without a bunch of dropping / sucking bullstuff)
• a bigger turtle inventory and screen size
• you can get the ID of a disk
• hard drive space limits (sounds like a bad thing but without this anyone could just make a virus that overload's the server host's disk drive space)
• you can get the amount of free space you have in your computer/disk/turtle
• a new keys API allows event handling with keypresses easier, without having to memorize a bunch of key codes
• rednet range is dependent on altitude
• printers
• a nice paint program
• computers can control command blocks
• computers can get the current day

only downside is that turtles need fuel, but the recipe is cheap and they're relatively easy to use, so i'd say that's fair.
