Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6745167 times)

I feel really stupid about this, but you know how... "OCD" I am. Lately, CaptainSparklez and now inTheLittleWood have put up videos for "Cops &/+ Robbers." But that's not cops and robbers. I define cops and robbers like old RTB for v0002, where we have some place, the cops try to protect it and jail the robbers, and the robbers try to steal a lot for score and run away. What they are playing reminds me of that jail gametype people made in Halo, but that's not cops and robbers. There's no cops and the robbers are inmates so...

Just saying something Minecraft-related which was bothering my brain. I know it doesn't matter... Just bothers me because I'm sure that's not the right name, and it feels weird they don't seem to realize it. Yell at me at will.

the only one I can bear to watch is antvenom, cause he isn't as care free as the rest.

though he is extremely annoying.

firerockerzstudio makes me really pissed off

I hate it when ANY let's player doesn't understand something, so they call it something else, like for example:
*Diglett pixel art*
"OH LOOK IT'S A PIKACHU!"

I guess it bothers me so much because I've played Cops and Robbers so much in RTB, and then so much of that jail gametype on Halo, so in my mind there's a specific definition of the gamemode or whatever which like... Yeah. But that subject is done.

someone should host jail escape

OCD is not an adjective
Stop it

I was trying to find whatever word the kids would use. That's why I used quotations. I don't know how else to describe it without... overwording it? Don't make me think - it is too damn hot.

By the way, I checked the map's webpage. Turns out the person was trying to recreate the gametype from Halo I was talking about.

you can take of the d
"I feel really stupid about this, but you know how obsessive-compulsive I am."

Well that makes sense... By the way, Dinnerbone said snapshot this week. And we got a launcher update which adds options currently in the background... Forgot what they were, but useful stuff.

Still waiting for that Modding API.

I want to install voltz + technical mods, along with a bunch of magic mods

They're still working on the launcher for the API. Right now, the new launcher could sort of work for mods in basics: You can make a new version folder and put modded files in it instead, and it should work. I suppose they want the launcher to control the mods instead of ingame, although I'm sure you could use any of those mods to do it ingame if you like. Just making it simpler for children.

Thats pretty much what the Technic launcher does right now.

Yep, but this one is default, so it has to be accessible both to people who don't give a stuff and people whose lives revolve around it while also being stable as hell despite how much customization everyone wants, compared against prepacked modded jars. Essentially, while these launchers only deal with starting their own packs, this launcher needs to help manage individual mods without being too confusing for children/new users.

I don't even know what you are talking about anymore.

Im not talking about the Launcher. DevLauncher is crap right now. Why make a launcher for an API that doesn't even exist yet?
