I saw one once a while ago when I first started playing, but I have not seen one since.

EDIT: It wasn't very hard to kill, actually. Seemed much, if not exactly, like any other Zombie in terms of Health Power and Attack Power.

Back before the days of indev there was the old survival test.
In those days creepers blew up on death, you didn't need a bow, and arrows fired from skeletons could be collected. In those days zombies and skeletons could be seen wearing armor even though they had the same amount of health.

I just want to know what it is, what/where it's coming from, and if a Wood Sword will be able to deal with it!

Probably just a cave sound.
