On singleplayer, I come to my huge 3x1 mine (searching for slimes and diamond) which splits off into a 3x2 mine, to find that most of it is gone.

Many blocks such as water, lava, bricks, dirt(duh). All sorts of stuff! Water flows, lava flows, interesting features such as trees growing and grass grows in sunlight!
